The butterfly area is kept at a toasty 80-85 degrees for the comfort of the butterflies, so feel free to wear your most colorful summer attire. Of course, there is air-conditioning in all other areas.

You won't see many of these species outside of the tropics. Some of the butterflies are as large as dinner plates!

When you're done admiring the garden, pick up a butterfly hatching kit so that you can grow your very own life butterfly or moth. There are also plenty of other butterfly-themed gifts available in the shop to grab as keepsakes.

Parking at the Butterfly Place is free, and there are plenty of spots available. There’s also an outdoor picnic area where you can have lunch, as well as nearby spots to stop for coffee, food or ice cream.

The Butterfly Place is open seven days a week from February 14 to Columbus Day, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $12.50 for adults, $10.50 for seniors and $8.50 for children. Kids under two are free. Your ticket is good for the entire day, so you can come and go as you please.
