There are times when our identity is formed as much by the things we won’t do as by our actions themselves. Bostonians are a wonderfully varied bunch, but living here is a unique experience that has an effect on our collective behavior. Here are 12 things that most Bostonians have never done:

Bars and clubs here close "early" compared to some other U.S. cities.

It doesn't matter if you call it a rotary, roundabout or traffic circle, we are confident in our ability to master them. Figuring out which lane we need to be in for a desired destination can be a little trickier.

Seriously, there are just so many of them. Whoever devised driving laws clearly never tried to negotiate Boston's roads.

Boston's not too big or too small. It's just right.

Leave that to tourists who are trying to blend in.
