Boston is known for seafood and whether you live here or are just visiting, you’ll discover why that reputation is well deserved. Hopefully, you’ve already sampled your way through Boston’s best seafood restaurants , however, there’s also a food fest that you really shouldn’t miss.
The Boston Seafood Festival is held on Fish Pier, a scenic setting for an outdoor festival.
The event, now in its seventh year, will be held on August 5, 2018.
Attendees are in for a real treat, with a day of live entertainment, nosh, and demos.
If you shy away from preparing your own seafood, watch the cooking demos performed by local chefs.
Whether you’re a novice or experienced cook, you’ll come away with recipe ideas with which to wow your friends.
Already confident in your seafood prep skills? Sign up for Battle of the Shuckers and show off your mad shucking skills. The winner gets bragging rights and a cash prize.
This festival includes attractions for the whole family.
In past years, kids have been entertained with face painting and real live pirates!
And for the grownups, Harpoon Brewery has an on-site beer garden. Inside, take part in a rousing game of cornhole! (Bring ID.)
Since this festival centers around food, you’ll have the opportunity to stuff yourself silly at the food booths…
…or on a lobster and clam bake doused in butter.
Tickets will be available on the festival website closer to the time of the summer festival.
The Boston Seafood Festival takes place at Fish Pier, located at 212 Northern Avenue in Boston.
