Fried squid is a popular dish in Mediterranean countries, from Lebanon to Italy. But, if you’ve spent even a few days in Boston, you know there’s no need to travel that far to get excellent calamari. Simply head to Giacomo’s Ristorante in Boston’s North End.
Available in both full and half sizes, this appetizer is paired with marinara sauce and fried pepper slices. All the seafood here, including the squid, is extremely fresh.
Follow up your starter with an entrée of lobster and shrimp fusilli…
A veritable seafood feast, this dish features calamari, scallops, shrimp, lobster, clams, and mussels, all served over linguine. If you go this route, bring a big appetite. Although the restaurant is teeny, the portions are generous.
Next time a craving for fried calamari strikes, you know where to go! Have you visited Giacomo’s yet?
