It seems like coffee shops and bakeries are popping up everywhere these days. There are dozens of new cafes opening on street corners in cities and towns around Massachusetts. When exploring a new place, I sometimes find it difficult to figure out which bakery is the best place to go. What really differentiates a good coffee shop from a great one? In my opinion, it is two things – great service and delicious food. Ma Reilly’s Cafe in Weymouth checks off both boxes.
Ma Reilly’s Cafe is a cute little shop with a cozy, comfortable atmosphere. It is run by a woman named Linda Kokoros who named the cafe after her mother, Angela O'Reilly.
The cafe's motto is “Everything is Made With Love.”
The cafe opened in 2016. The food here is delicious and the staff are friendly and helpful. Ma Reilly’s is a great place to take the kids for a treat or to grab a coffee or lunch with a friend.
The cafe also makes breakfast sandwiches, muffins, buttermilk biscuits, and croissants. Their delicious homemade scones come in flavors such as blueberry, raisin, raspberry white chocolate chip, and banana chocolate chip.
Ma Reilly’s award-winning food can additionally be enjoyed through its catering service.
Ma Reilly’s special coffee is the “Kate Mac.” It was named in honor of a local teenager who passed away after a tragic accident. A portion of the proceeds of the drink are donated to a fund in her honor.
So far, Ma Reilly’s has raised thousands of dollars by selling this coffee.
Have you tried the scones at Ma Reilly’s? What did you think? Find out more about the menu by visiting Ma Reilly’s website and Ma Reilly’s Facebook page.
