Serving modern American cuisine with a strong French soul, Shepard should be on everyone’s “must-dine” list this season.

When you walk into Shepard, the first thing you'll notice is the serene ambiance.
The interior is simple and elegant, leaving room for the food to take center stage.
One of Shepard's most unique features is an open hearth-style cooking area. Diners can watch their meals roast, sizzle and bubble before tucking in.
The chef at Shepard had a pretty amazing tutor: Julia Child herself. Susan Regis tries to channel the spirit of her inspiring mentor in the rich and creative cuisine she serves.
Seafood lovers will swoon over their oysters roasted on a bed of hay with preserved garlic mustard root and cultured butter.
