We certainly couldn't write a list of the best Halloween towns in Massachusetts without including Salem! While every day seems to feel like Halloween here in Salem, it's especially the case during the entire month of October. Home to the infamous Witch Trials back in 1692, this town has its fair share of paranormal activity.

And since 1982, Salem has hosted its Haunted Happenings throughout the month of October. During this time, thousands of visitors flock to the city to partake in Halloween parties, events, parades, fairs, walking tours, and more! It's considered one of the biggest Halloween celebrations in the world.

North Adams, MA 01247, USA
As home to the allegedly haunted Hoosac Tunnel, North Adams can certainly be a creepy place to visit in October. Construction of the 4.75-mile-long tunnel was completed in 1875 and, at the time, it was the second longest in the world. However, during construction, numerous workers died and the tunnel was given the gruesome nickname, "Bloody Pit."
