The area is home to a beaver lodge, which is the technical term for a beaver home. It looks a bit like a giant pile of twigs and leaves, but it’s actually a snug little beaver condo.
It’s good for all skill levels, including small children and athletically-challenged adults. There’s plenty of beautiful greenery to look at and the trail is quite flat, only gaining about 19 feet in elevation.
Log bridges located along the trail add a fairytale touch to this hike. And if you feel like braving the cold, the pond looks truly lovely in the winter.
