There’s something about a weathered old barn set back in the trees along a rural road that looks so rustic and romantic. While Massachusetts may not be known as farm country, agriculture and crop cultivation was once a very important element of life in the Bay State. Check out these gorgeous relics of a time when many of us lived closer to the earth.
1. This barn in North Adams is every shade of red.
14. The Barn at Gibbet Hill. Keeping with the theme of "knot-tying barns," this incredible barn was built in 1902 and can hold up to 220 people. There is an outside heated deck with a permanent roof over it that is used for cocktail receptions as well as a great dancefloor.
