Welcome to Bear Hole Reservoir Trail! This 2.6-mile loop is located in West Springfield.

Many locals are aware of Bear Hole Reservoir, as it's home to a pumping station owned by the West Springfield Water Department, but often forget that it's a beautiful slice of nature as well.

Once you park in the parking lot, you'll find a gravel road that starts the trail. This trail is beautiful any time of year, including winter.

Along the way, you'll find various different sights to see. First, you'll find a gorgeous waterfall that especially comes to life after a good rain.

Next, you'll see an old stone fireplace plopped in the middle of the woods. This is because Bear Hole used to be a resort back in the 1800s.

If you continue upon this loop, you'll begin to see the scenic lake peeking through the trees.
