I'm an east coast girl living in a west coast world. I grew up in New England before moving to SoCal for several years. I then lived in NYC or a year before moving to AZ in 2009. I worked in the entertainment industry for many years of my adult life and have a deep love for photography, writing, and traveling around the U.S. as well as to far-flung locations around the world. Travel is my life and writing about it is a dream!
A restaurant’s ambience can be just as important as the food it serves. Luckily, the Bay State has plenty of options when it comes to eateries that offer both ambience and delectable cuisine. One such place is Añejo Mexican Bistro, where you can dine under a tree in Massachusetts while enjoying some of the best Mexican food around.
Añejo Mexican Bistro has been open in Hyannis since 2018. While there is a second location in Falmouth, the Hyannis location offers something extraordinary the other does not.
Located out in the bistro's Beech Tree Taqueria is a historic weeping beech tree with roots dating all the way back to 1776, the same year America gained its independence.
This is certainly not your average place to dine on Cape Cod. And while the tree is a central focus to Añejo Mexican Bistro, its excellent food is what draws people in.
You don't have to wait until Taco Tuesday to enjoy tacos. Each order comes with three tacos and spicy pickles made in-house. If you can't decide what tacos you would like to try, order the Tres Tacos, which comes with a combination of three.
And there are plenty of additional options like quesadillas, burritos, tostadas, and more on the menu as well.
If you imbibe, you must order a margarita while you're here. There are some creative flavors like strawberry-ginger, cucumber, pumpkin, pomegranate, and spicy mango you may want to try.
