The national park side (Assateague Island National Seashore) offers camping year-round! Reservations are required March 15th through November 15th. Between those dates, it's a first-come, first-served policy. Sites during this time are $30 per night.
And at nighttime, the views are just as fantastic for those who love stargazing. Bring a telescope or a very good camera, and you could even spot the milky way from your campsite.
