When you think of Henri Matisse art, you may imagine having to travel across the world to see it in person. Surprisingly, that’s not true at all. In fact, the world’s largest public collection of Henri Matisse art is right here in Maryland. Read on to learn more, and consider seeing these special works with your own eyes.
Washington DC may be known for its museums, but it's certainly not the only place with fascinating exhibits. Baltimore, Maryland is also home to bucket list worthy museums, the Baltimore Museum of Art being one of them.
You can find this beautiful building at 10 Art Museum Drive. The museum is filled with plenty to see, including the world's largest public collection of Henri Matisse art.
Matisse was a French artist and is known for his works from the late 1800s to mid-1900s. Although he's famously known as a painter, he also dabbled in drawing, sculpting, and even decoupage in his later years.
