You’ll Be Pleased To Hear That Maryland's Upcoming Winter Is Supposed To Be More Mild Than Last Year’s
Marylanders who aren’t the biggest fans of cold weather can breathe a sigh of relief. The Old Farmer’s Almanac recently came out with their predictions for the upcoming 2018-19 winter season, and it’s supposed to be milder than last year. Read on for the details…

Winter is beautiful, but that doesn't mean that we enjoy the annoyances it brings. According to the Old Farmer's Almanac, you'll likely experience less shoveling and commuting in blizzards this year. Fingers crossed that this holds true.

Central and Western Maryland are expected to have warmer than normal weather. There may be more precipitation, but below-normal snowfall due to temperatures remaining above freezing. Rather than snow, there will be more rain, and we can't complain.

No need to completely put those shovels away, however. The little snow that does come will likely arrive mid-December, and early January and February. Just something to keep in mind if you plan on traveling during the winter months.

Similar weather patterns are predicted for Southern Maryland and the Eastern Shore. According to The Old Farmer's Almanac, temperatures will be "much above normal." Precipitation will be higher than usual, with less snowfall.

The snowiest periods will be a bit different than the Central and Western regions. Expect the white stuff early December, late-January, and mid-February.
