Chesapeake City is a small town in Cecil County with a population of just under 700 people, according to the 2010 census. It’s called a hidden treasure of the Chesapeake, and it’s easy to see why. Though the town is small, it has a ton of character and unique features, which is why you may want to consider adding it to your list of places to visit this year. The Chesapeake City Bridge is the most prominent feature of the town. It crosses the towns other obvious feature, the Chesapeake & Delaware Canal.

The town got its name in 1839 and was formerly known as Bohemia Village. Although many of the homes and storefronts in Chesapeake City have been renovated, they strive to retain the town's historic charm, and pay tribute to its history.
There are many places to explore, including on the water.
