There are some things in Maryland that are common among almost everyone. Whether it’s an item used every day or something picked up from your travels around the Old Line State, here are 12 things found in most Maryland homes.
1) A can of Old Bay. Or 2, or 10.
2) A Longaberger basket. Maybe you won it at bingo, or maybe you just really love expensive baskets.
3) An Old Time Photo from your trip to Ocean City. You thought you were so edgy.

4) A grain of rice necklace, also from OC. Because you just HAD to have it to remember your vacation.
5) A Boyds Bear. They're "collectibles" and you won't let anyone tell you different.
6) Novelty crab crackers. Although you probably rarely use them.
7) So many hoodies. Temperatures in Maryland are constantly changing so we always have one on hand.
8) A scantron lottery form already filled out. You're just waiting for the pot to get big...
9) A snow shovel. It's good to be prepared, although you're usually hoping it won't be needed.
10) A display of stones. You spotted them while hiking near the lake and they were just so smooth!
11) Or maybe your display looks more like this... ::sniff:: we miss you, summer.
12) Local sports memorabilia. Even if it's not signed by an actual player. 😉
Were any of these true to you? What are other items found in a Marylander’s home? Let’s all share in the comments!
