We’ve covered a variety of Maryland parks thus far, from beautiful state parks , to some of the most scenic hiking spots . Today, we’re featuring a lesser known spot that deserves a whole lot more attention. Full of mesmerizing water views, trails, and hidden nooks, here’s why Terrapin Beach Park will be your new favorite destination.
Located in Stevensville on Kent Island, this remote park is worth the drive.
Terrapin Beach Park offers a quiet sandy beach for those looking for a less touristy spot.
You can also see the Chesapeake Bay Bridge in the distance. It's a view you won't want to look away from.
Explore the 3.25-mile trail by bike or foot. It includes paved portions...
Charming boardwalks through wetland areas...
And winding dirt paths.
Also hidden in the park is an old cemetery. It's a fascinating little spot to explore.
Then head back to the beach and simply relax, swim, and watch the kiteboarders.
This is also a good place to look for sea glass, pottery, and other unique pieces that wash ashore.
Terrapin Nature Park is open daily from dawn until dusk. You'll most definitely want to stay til dusk to catch the intense sunsets.
