Summer may be slipping away, but that doesn’t mean we can’t take advantage of cooler weather and explore the beautiful outdoors. For instance, did you realize Maryland had its very own Niagara Falls? Muddy Creek Falls of Swallow Falls State Park may not compare in height, but it certainly rivals the beauty of America’s most iconic waterfall. And with so much recent rainfall, this cascade is all the more mesmerizing. Take a look at the following photos of this incredible natural attraction that you’ll just have to experience for yourself this season:
Swallow Falls State Park is located at 222 Herrington Ln., Oakland, MD 21550. For more information about this beautiful state park, you can visit the official website here. Have you experienced Muddy Creek Falls in early autumn? We’d love to hear about your experience!
