The upcoming polar vortex is nothing to be afraid of, however, but you will want to bundle up. Some parts of Maryland may even see snow flurries! A polar vortex will be hitting the northeastern US, with plummeting temperatures beginning Friday night. Parts of Central Maryland and all of Western Maryland are under a freeze warning.

That means those flowers and vegetables you recently planted could be in danger. You may want to consider tenting cloth over-top to protect them. Old bed sheets work great in a pinch!
