We love featuring restaurants that offer a unique dining experience like no other. The following spot used to be a schoolhouse but has since been transformed into a cozy and delicious eatery. It still retains much of its character and we recommend checking it out at least once.
Brick Ridge Restaurant is located in Mt Airy.
The structure that this restaurant is housed in was built in 1892. It served as a school for decades and closed in 1947. Afterwards, it was occupied by several other businesses until it finally became Brick Ridge Restaurant.
This eatery still retains much of its historic details, including the original school bell!
The exterior is charming and is often decorated during the seasons.
Step inside and you'll see that the atmosphere is quaint and comfy.
You may even sometimes get to experience live music while dining at this unique establishment.
Brick Ridge Restaurant is open during the evenings. However, it opens early on Sundays, offering a delectable and filling brunch menu.
If you know a teacher or history lover who would enjoy this spot, then plan your visit today. There is no other restaurant in Maryland quite like it.
