When heading to Assateague Island in Maryland, you can either visit the state park side or the national park side. Today's featured trail is on the national park side.
This unique trail is 3/4-miles in length, though it might it might seem a bit longer when trudging through the sandy path. This is a lot of work on your legs!
There were once dreams of a resort community on Assateague Island, but due to the rough and everchanging terrain, this road was never finished. However, you can still walk across the remains today.
