A lifelong Virginia resident, Beth loves exploring different parts of the world and currently resides in Charlottesville. She holds a degree in English Literature and one of her short stories has been featured in the Shenandoah Review. Other interests include hiking, songwriting, and spending time in the mountains.
There’s an exciting event making its way to Maryland that promises three days full of train and water-themed festivities, music, and food, all in the beautiful setting of Cumberland. Scheduled for September 7th – 9th, the first annual River & Rails Festival will serve as the kick off for the River Park at Canal Place Project and celebrate Western Maryland Scenic Railroad‘s 30th anniversary in a big way. From fireworks to a movie under the stars, this gathering has something for everyone.
