One of the most famous parks in the United States (or even the world), is no doubt New York’s Central Park. While we can’t quite rival the iconic status of Central Park, we do have a similar spot in Maryland that’s worth exploring.
First, a photo of New York's rectangular-shaped Central Park, which spans 843 acres in the middle of New York City.
And pictured below is Baltimore's Patterson Park, also similarly shaped and spanning 137 acres.
Although both parks are different and miles away from one another, they share many similarities, almost as if Baltimore's Patterson Park is a mini clone of Central Park. Folks gather at Patterson Park for the vast attractions, including...
...a scenic lake that's picture perfect year-round...
...historic sites and an enchanting fountain...
...and architectural wonders, such as Patterson Park's iconic pagoda.
This park is also a haven for runners, walkers, or cyclists. The trails are pretty all throughout the year, but especially so during autumn.
Both parks share similar amenities and more, and one could say that Patterson Park is a little Central Park. Although, it's still unique in its own way. Visit this Maryland gem at least once!
