The original Ouija Board was created in the early 1890s by Baltimorean, Elijah Bond. This is said to be the original design.
The Ouija Board was meant to be a fun parlor game. It wasn't known as a device to contact the dead until spiritualist Pearl Curran popularized it during World War I.
