Head west to find Swallow Falls State Park, which is located in the Oakland area.
This Maryland park is home to a few waterfalls, but Muddy Creek Falls is everyone's favorite, for obvious reasons. At 53-feet tall, it's the highest free-falling waterfall in the state.
All of the reds, oranges, and yellows all around makes this spot look like a work of art!

Muddy Creek Fall is also easy to reach, with a short gravel walk to the falls, and then a stairway that lets you view this natural wonder from several perspectives.

You can even stand up top and marvel at the views down below. Just be sure to wear shoes with good tread, as the rocks are understandably wet.
