1. Crystal Grottoes Caverns
Head to Boonsboro to experience this natural cave in Maryland. It has more formations per square foot than any other known cave in the world.

This massive ship graveyard is located in Charles County. You can kayak and canoe over the historic wreckage, making for an experience like no other.

3. Calvert Cliffs
This unique spot in Maryland is not only picturesque, but it is also the site of prehistoric creatures, including sharks. If you've ever dreamed of fossil hunting, this is the place to go.

5. Fort Carroll

6. Noah's Ark
In 1974, a local pastor claimed that Jesus told him to build an ark. To this day, it still remains unfinished, but some now visit this odd location in Frostburg to pray.

This marvelous mountain cut is considered one of the most impressive rock exposures in the United States. Water constantly trickles down the rocks, then ices over in the winter for one glorious display.

The bloodiest one day battle in American history was located at this historic spot in Sharpsburg. The sunken road pictured here is known as Bloody Lane, where it's said that the blood from the wounded and killed flowed like a river.
