Did you know that Maryland is home to a historic and haunted cemetery? If you’re a fan of ghostly adventures, then you may want to check out this spot… if you dare.
Westminster Hall and Burying Ground is located in Baltimore.
Many people know this spot as the final resting place of Edgar Allan Poe. Those who visit Poe's grave are usually unaware of just how gruesome of a history this cemetery truly has.
It's rumored that years ago, a body snatcher would often rob bodies right out of their tombs, followed by selling the body parts to medical students for research purposes. The unrested souls are said to now haunt the area, especially in the catacombs.
Paranormal investigators often detect eerie happenings here, including being told to "Get Out" by one ghost in particular.
If you're feeling brave and would like to explore this place for yourself, the burying grounds are open daily from 8am until dusk. You can schedule a tour year-round or partake in the annual Halloween tour (information available here .)
