When you’re hungry and need something comforting, there are only a few foods that will do the job. Things like pizza are great, but that can feel boring after a while. When we want something truly hearty and delicious, it’s home cooking we love. But what if you’re not in the mood to cook? That’s when we head to this German restaurant in Hanover! There might not be a better place to enjoy authentic German food without a passport.
The Bavarian Brauhaus in Hanover sits unassumingly in a strip mall. If you weren't looking for it, you might not even realize it exists at all. But, that would be unfortunate because this is one of the best spots to find traditional Bavarian food in Maryland.
Whether you come for a casual lunch or larger dinner, the food here is truly delicious. And one of the more unique aspects of their menu is the inclusion of both traditional Bavarian dishes and some of the local American meals those from Maryland love.
Each plate is huge, which means if you're hungry there's probably no better place to go. And we love that many of the dishes offer a variety of different foods.
And, of course, no visit to Bavarian Brauhaus is complete without enjoying one of the 7 beers one tap or one of the more than 40 options for bottled beer.
Enjoy!
Bavarian Brauhaus is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. They’re closed on Sunday and Monday. You can learn more about the restaurant and their menu by checking out their website. Or, follow them on Facebook to keep in touch. They can be reached on 410-712-0300.
