While we’re still in the dead of winter, you may already be planning your spring and summer adventures. This year, consider heading to Oxford, Maryland. This underrated town is full of charm and the water views will have you ready for warmer months asap.
The town of Oxford has plenty of coastal sights, with views of Tred Avon River and Choptank River.
Head downtown to find delightful local businesses, including shops, a museum, library, and more.
Don't miss out on Scottish Highland Creamery, which many people consider to have the best ice cream in Maryland.
Take to the water on the Oxford-Bellevue Ferry...
...which is the oldest privately-owned ferry in the US. How cool!
Or if you have your own boat, this spot is superb for fishing and sightseeing.
Warmer months entice visitors to swing while they enjoy the views...
Or splash around on the tiny yet charming beach, known as The Strand.
Oxford is just as pretty during autumn, as the foliage becomes vibrant with hues of orange and red.
No matter what time of year you visit, the sunset views are sure to impress.
We can't get enough of Oxford and recommend checking it out at least once, although you may want to return again and again.
