Patapsco Valley State Park sprawls across parts of Baltimore County and Howard County. Covering 32 miles and 14,000 acres, there's plenty to see, including dams, waterfalls, tunnels, ruins, and more.
Much of the park has older structures, even abandoned buildings and churches. This shabby but sturdy bridge is a reminder of the past and is filled with character.
Not all bridges at Patapsco Valley State Park are for pedestrians, but they're no less impressive. The historic Thomas Viaduct has stunning arches and it's actually the world's oldest multiple arched stone railroad bridge.
