If you've ever been to Druid Hill Park in Baltimore (where you'll find The Maryland Zoo), you may have spotted Rawlings Conservatory.

The original structure here opened in 1888. Two side wing pavilions were then constructed in the early 2000s.

Inside of the glass-covered pavilions, you'll find several greenhouse rooms. The Tropical House is full of tropical foliage galore...

...and the Desert Climate House is bustling with various types of cacti at every turn.

You also won't want to miss the Orchid Room with colorful blooms all around.

Along with a few other greenhouse rooms inside, you'll also find plenty of plant life outside. Volunteers help plant all around the 1.5-acres, making this a great place to explore inside AND out.

If you're gardener yourself, be sure to save the date for the annual bulb sale at the conservatory...

...and don't forget to visit during the holiday season as well. This gem becomes decked out in poinsettias and it's a wondrous sight to see.
