Baltimore is full of amazing buildings, including the following place that holds a world record! Check it out and consider visiting this spot when you get a chance.
If you've been to Baltimore's Inner Harbor, then you've surely seen the World Trade Center in the middle of all the action. It's the 6th tallest building in the city and not many people know that it's the tallest regular pentagonal building in the world.
Although Houston's JPMorgan Chase Tower is also five-sided and taller, it's not a regular pentagon like Baltimore's World Trade Center. This means the length of each side and the angles are all equal.
Up close, it's difficult to tell that this building has five sides. Once you get a view of it from the water or certain angles, it's a little more obvious.
In fact, many people only find out this fun fact when looking at Baltimore on a map.
Other than being the world's tallest regular pentagonal building, Baltimore's World Trade Center has another surprise in store. Located on the 27th floor is an observation level that allows visitors to enjoy sky high views of the city.
This 360-degree panoramic view offers views of surrounding buildings...
...and of course, mesmerizing sights of the water. Tickets are $6 for adults, $5 for seniors, $4 for children that are 3 to 12 years of age, and free for children 3 and under.
To get a glimpse of the view from the observation level, check out the below video by Youtube user Peter Rainford .
