Have you ever heard about Leakin Park’s disturbing history? This green space in Baltimore is beautiful, but looks can be deceiving. Read on to learn about this local gem with a twisted past.
Leakin Park adjoins to Gwynns Falls Park in Baltimore. This spot is used daily by walkers, joggers, cyclists, and more.
What many people don't know is that Leakin Park is also known to locals as Murder Park.
Over the years, 79 bodies have been found here, but the number could be much higher due to incomplete archiving in the past. Many of the bodies can be explained by the park being located next to two of Baltimore's most high-crime neighborhoods. Gang-related murders aren't uncommon in the city.
But what's more surprising are the murders that aren't gang-related at all. Records of deceased newborns, family member crimes and more are associated with this evil place.
Some of the killers were never found so it's assumed that they're still roaming the city. A scary thought, indeed.
