1. Patapsco Valley State Park
Our first stop is at Patapsco Valley State Park. Although this park covers miles upon miles of area, we recommend visiting the Avalon / Orange Grove section for the scenic swinging bridges. Cascade Falls is also located here for a copper-colored watery view to remember.
2. Patterson Park
This park is located in the city and is mostly known for its impressive pagoda. However, this place is also perfect for a walk, offering stunning sights of foliage at every turn.
3. Druid Hill Park
Home of the Maryland Zoo, Rawlings Conservatory and more, this park is filled with things to do. Or simply go for a walk to witness all the reds, oranges, and yellows that autumn brings to this spot.
4. Cylburn Arboretum
This beautiful arboretum is home to a historic mansion and unique plants throughout the grounds. During fall, the Japanese maples become emblazoned with fiery hues. A must-visit spot for a photo op!
5. Lake Roland Park
Lake Roland Park is the perfect little escape from the hustle and bustle. Bring a canoe or kayak and experience the foliage right from the water.
6. Loch Raven Reservoir
Locals can't get enough of Loch Raven Reservoir and it's not hard to see why. Visit early in the morning to escape the crowds and enjoy the serene, colorful views.
7. North Point State Park
North Point State Park is known mostly for its beach but not many people realize that it is also home to several area trails. Spend a day hiking and exploring among one of the most beautiful places around.
