This Underrated Arboretum Just Might Be The Most Beautiful Place In Maryland

When people think of Baltimore, they usually picture the city and harbor. However, Baltimore also has several green spaces that are worth exploring. This includes the following spot that deserves more recognition. If you enjoy nature and especially gardens, check out this hidden gem in Charm City.
Head to 4915 Greenspring Avenue, and you'll find the historic Cylburn Arboretum.
The mansion on the grounds dates all the way back to1868. At one point, it was a home for abandoned and neglected children.
Today, you can tour this remarkable building, with visiting hours being Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm.
Or simply come to take in the beauty of the arboretum, full of flowers, trees, and intricate sculptures.
From October 25 through April 1, garden hours are Tuesday to Sunday from 8 am to 5 pm. This gives you plenty of time for a stroll, photo session, or whatever else inspires you.
Bring a picnic and stay a while. There are so many places here to sit and enjoy the views.
The Japanese maples are especially intriguing, so be sure to bring your camera to remember the moment.
Visit during autumn when the arboretum is emblazoned with hues of red, orange, and yellow. This is a hidden gem that every Baltimorean should see at least once.
