A Drone Captured The Sad Remains Of This Abandoned Mall In Maryland
Frederick Towne Mall in Frederick, MD was opened in 1972 and, like many malls that are now shut down, had a successful few decades. Today, only Home Depot and Boscov’s remain but the main part of the mall is completely closed off to the public. Well, it’s supposed to be anyway… one YouTuber explored the remains with a drone and the footage is interesting to say the least.
Note: do not trespass here. Multiple people have been arrested for doing so. Additionally, there are plans to build a new shopping center here and the developers are currently looking for new tenants. Hopefully Frederick Towne Mall – or at least what remains of it – has a brighter future than its past.
