Winterbrook Farms is located along MD-550 in Thurmont, Maryland.
This place is very popular during autumn months, especially when it comes to the giant corn maze. Here's last year's design, celebrating 95 years.
This year's design will be dedicated to Kaisy Knott, who is a local 13-year-old, 4-H member, battling brain cancer. The design hasn't been made public yet but it will be just as huge as previous years.
How huge exactly? Well, the maze is made up of four parts, with 7.1 miles of trails, totaling over 30-acres. There are 18 checkpoints hidden throughout. Think you can find them all?
The festive fun at Winterbrook Farms goes far beyond the giant corn maze. You can also partake in a classic hay ride...
...that will lead you to a pumpkin patch. This is the best way to stock up on this essential seasonal gourd.
Try your hand at the unique apple cannons...
And zip down the mountain slide.
If you're an animal lover, you'll love visiting the resident goats. These little guys are a whole lot of fun.
So, think you have what it takes to complete Maryland's largest corn maze AND still have time to explore everything else? Test your skills by planning a day trip. The fall season here begins September 22nd, so mark your calendar!
