Let’s face it, the winter is upon us. We’ve had snow, ice pellets, cold and wind. But, from a glass-half-full-perspective, it’s really not so bad. There have been years that our state has racked up record snowfall – anyone remember last February?
In an effort to remind ourselves that it could always be worse, here are 15 snow-covered places that will make you wish you had the option to live in an underground land for just a little while. And, if you love the snow, fear not! With some of us living underground for part of the year, you’ll have the slopes, forests and ice-covered lakes all to yourselves! Truth be told, most of these are beautiful, so we’ll probably be sticking it out all winter.
We know our readers are divided when it comes to loving and hating winter in Maine. Let us know how you feel by commenting on our Facebook page with “Loving winter life!” or “See you in the summer!”
