Drake’s Island Beach is open year-round, but lifeguards are only on-duty daily between the last week in June through Labor Day and on weekends from Memorial Day weekend to the last week of June and Labor Day through Indigenous Peoples Day. Parking is available in the lot from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., but as with most Maine beaches in the summer, it’s best to arrive early. Residents with a sticker can park for free; all others will pay $4 per hour.
