For a lot of people, a morning ritual means coffee first thing. Whether you jump in the car to grab it or stroll to your favorite local coffee shop, that first cup of caffeine often kick starts the day’s productivity. Maine is one of the best places to find local coffee shops, but these days we’ve been spending a bit less time out in public with lots of other people. If you miss the days of someone else making your coffee, there might be a great option for you in the form of this coffee delivery service!
Vagabond Coffee Car is a coffee service located in southern Maine delivering homemade cold brew and other beverages to the lucky people in Cumberland and York Counties.
Operated by owner William Hardy and head barista, Ethan the business is housed in a 1949 International Harvester. Right now it's got a Chevy Small Block 350 with a posi-trac rear end. There's no way you can miss this thing if it's rolling into your neighborhood!
But what is cold brew? It's a whole different way to make iced coffee. Rather than roasting beans, cold brew coffee is made by steeping the beans overnight allowing the oils and natural flavors to stay in the drink. The result is a flavorful, strong coffee.
They take things one step further from the truck by creating a nitro-cold brew. This process infuses the beverage with nitrogen through a tap, just like a beer. The result is a creamier coffee. It's almost like a Guinness!
Vagabond caters special events, but they also deliver their coffee in 64-ounce growlers which yield about 4 cups of what you might get at your local coffee shop.
This is a great way to spice up a workday or simply make sure you've always got the best coffee on-hand!
Vagabond Coffee Car delivers to both Cumberland and York counties right now. They offer contactless delivery on Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. You can learn more about the company here and you can check out the menu here.
