Watch The Maine Countryside Whirl By On This Unforgettable Christmas Train
This time of year brings something special to Maine. The weather is chilly, snow is falling and twinkle lights are up on homes throughout the state. But, there’s also something to be said for experiencing the world around us. Watching the trees go by, the snow fall and the wonder in the eyes of children and adults can take the season from nice to absolutely magical. Do just that on this special Victorian train ride.
The Wiscasset, Waterville and Farmington Railway is located at 97 Cross Rd., Alna, Maine. And, we’ve got good news and bad news. The good news is that this event is free! There are 9 throughout the day, the first beginning at 10:30 a.m. and the last departing at 3:10 p.m. The bad news? Right now the event is sold out. But that doesn’t mean you can’t attend. Simply check their ticket website often and see if there have been cancellations. If there are, the site will reflect ticket availability. There’s always a chance. And, you can always visit when they’re open to see the museum, which is well worth it.
