My name is Chris Dodge and I live right here in the great state of Tennessee. My family and I are full adventurers filled with passion to see the amazing things our state has to offer. We are avid hikers and have explored many different places in Tennessee and beyond but we are always thankful to be living in such a glorious state.
With almost 3,500 miles of coastline in Maine, we are blessed to have a front-row seat to the great Atlantic Ocean. Little harbors, beach towns, and jagged rocky coasts line our state. With all of those amazing places to see and explore, you can almost spend your whole life seeing them all. Charming little oceanfront towns really make up the culture of Maine. So it should be no surprise that we found an amazing little seafood restaurant in Saco, Maine that you should try.
Huot’s Seafood Restaurant has been around since 1935.
With a long-standing history of fried seafood, it is safe to say they have the experience to deliver the finest in affordable seafood dinners. The same recipes that made this restaurant such a hit back in the 30s are still used to this very day. Huot’s is a family business that has been owned by three generations of Huots, and when you come to this establishment you are invited to be part of the family.
The restaurant sits on a street corner in a little section of Saco called Camp Ellis Beach. With the beach in view, you will have a beautiful backdrop to your delicious meal.
The breakwater at the end of the street is a great place to walk on the rocks and adventure out towards the vast ocean. Plenty of soft sand is available to enjoy and relax on the beach.

At Huot’s, you can sit indoors in their quaint restaurant, but if the weather is nice the outdoor seating area is a wonderful choice.
Try one of their famous crab cakes that helped kick start the business and don’t forget to bite into the delicious onion rings too. Fried seafood options abound at Huot’s. You can order clams, shrimp, haddock, scallops, or even order them all a cart style and get a little bit of everything. It might be hard to choose with so many mouth-watering options.
It is not a true Maine seafood restaurant if they don’t have a lobster roll right?
Huot’s has been around for so many years it is easy to see why this little seafood restaurant in Saco, Maine has done so well. Feast on affordable and delicious seafood with a fantastic beach backdrop. For more information please visit the Huot’s Seafood restaurant website.
