There’s nothing better in the world than stepping into a bakery and surrounding yourself with the aroma of freshly-baked pies, cookies, and cakes. There’s a little bakery right here in Portland that serves up some of the most amazing pies you’ll ever try, and you need to pay this place a visit asap.
Two Fat Cats Bakery got its start in 2005, and it's been serving up delicious baked goods ever since. The original Portland location (shown here) is where all the dough is created, but the bakery recently opened a second location in South Portland as well.
Every single day, the bakery makes blueberry, mixed berry, sour cherry, bourbon pecan, black & blue, and an array of cream pies. Other pies, like key lime, peach, pumpkin, and New England bog pie are seasonal.
Is a whole pie more than you can handle? No worries! You can get your pie by the slice right at the bakery. For just $5, they'll serve you up a slice of your favorite pie and a cup of piping hot coffee.
Both locations are closed on Mondays. Hours from Tuesday through Saturday are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. On Sunday, the Portland location is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; the South Portland bakery's Sunday hours are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Learn more about the bakery on its website, and make sure to follow its Facebook page to see what they’re baking up fresh today.
