There are certainly plenty of choices when it comes to finding a spot to eat or drink in Portland, Maine. From top-rated and nationally-recognized restaurants to small hole-in-the-walls, it’s safe to say that just walking down the street will lead to a great discovery. What we’re loving lately is this little spot located underground. It just might have you packing your bags and taking that next flight!
In a city that has some of the mot unique places to eat and drink in Maine, Maps tops the list when it comes to quirk!
We love the travel theme, but what keeps us coming back is their inexplicably delicious cakes. What are things like vanilla, caramel and sea salt cake, devils food Cake and coconut cake doing at a maps-themed bar? We have no idea, but we're not complaining.
Hungry for more than decadent treats? They might have the best grilled cheese in town. It tastes even better knowing that it's a totally unexpected menu offering.
Although, we shouldn't be that surprised given that they pretty much sum up their offering right outside. A better description of a local spot has never existed!
Okay. Let's not forget that this place is a bar. That means they have to have drinks, right? Right! And they're great. A full draft list is on the wall.
