Maine is full of beautiful little nooks and crannies. Around every corner is another beautiful spot, a great restaurant, or historic memory. But, if we’re being honest, our favorite places are the ones with food! There’s a little coffee shop tucked away near beautiful lakes and forest where you can get everything from a hot tea to a tasty sandwich and it’s worth the trip to check it out!
Make your way to tiny Norway in Oxford County and you'll find one of our favorite little cafes in all of Maine.
Cafe Nomad sits right on Main Street just waiting to be enjoyed. It's already a favorite among locals, but if you're not from nearby it's worth a visit.
Committed to using ingredients from local spots throughout Maine, the food here is homemade and delicious. We love that the menu is featured on either butcher paper or chalkboards each and every day.
And the specials, which can be found listed on their Facebook page, are some of the best around. Pictured here is a plant-based chicken bacon ranch sandwich featuring seitan (made from scratch!) fried to order with marinated tempeh bacon, and homemade vegan ranch.
We especially love the cinnamon buns. Head to Cafe Nomad to enjoy a great homemade meal, great art, and the surroundings of one of the most lovely towns in Maine!
Cafe Nomad is open Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. You can learn more about them on their website of by following them on Facebook. They can be reached on 207-739-2249.
