There are some things that Maineiacs do that our friends other states just can’t understand. While we find it commonplace to stop in the road to let a moose pass, our friends in Florida believe you only see that in movies. In this list (which is, by no means, complete) we’ve compiled 15 things every true Maineiac has done at least once. And yes, stopping for a moose in the road is included!

If you've driven anywhere off a major road in Maine, you've run the risk of finding a moose blocking your path. Don't get out of the car for a closer look! Wait for it to pass. And always take the "moose crossing" signs seriously as crashing into one of these animals can be very, very dangerous, and costly.
