When it’s time for an evening out, you have tons of great choices in The Pine Tree State. From humble seafood shacks to fancy fine dining, there’s something for every mood, but sometimes you want a unique experience. Head to this Maine farm, where you’ll find cozy gazebos and locally-produced food.
The Well at Jordan's Farm is a dining experience unlike any other. The restaurant is situated on a 122-acre farm, which is where much of the delicious food served here comes from.
You'll find The Well at Jordan's Farm at 21 Wells Rd., Cape Elizabeth, ME 04107.
If you're looking for an intimate dining experience, this is it. Instead of a huge dining room, The Well has a chef's counter, and gazebos that host both small or large parties. You'll want to get your reservations early, because this place books up fast.
Parties of three to six guests should reserve a small gazebo; the large gazebos can accommodate parties of 6 to 12 diners. The gazebos provide an intimate space with views of the farm that provide a wonderful atmosphere for your meal.
The menu here changes daily, according to what's fresh and in season. You'll always find creative, crisp salads, locally-raised meats, and produce from Jordan's Farm or surrounding farms. Small parties will enjoy the tasting menu; larger parties can choose from the tasting menu or a family-style dinner.
Fresh-baked breads, herbs, vegetables and protein sourced from the garden on site and local farms nearby all combine to make the most incredible meal you'll enjoy all year. Chef Jason Williams brings his creative talent to every dish, ensuring that it's perfection on a plate.
The tasting menu always includes a starter with a salad or appetizer, an entree with a protein such as roasted organic chicken, locally produced pork loin, or wood grilled tofu, and seasonal side dishes.
House-made dessert is also included, and it's always divine. You'll find treats such as homemade donuts with salted caramel, berries and cream, and more. Guests can enjoy water or iced tea, and are welcome to bring their own beverages, as well.
The Well at Jordan's Farm opens for the season in June, and you'll want to make your reservation as soon as possible. In addition to the gazebos and chef's counter, there are a few picnic tables where you can enjoy your meal next to the flower garden; they're first come, first served. Bring cash - the restaurant doesn't accept checks or credit cards.
