Little vacations away from the world can help you relax, but have you ever stayed in a train car before? If you love to stay somewhere unique instead of the same old hotel rooms, this restored caboose on Sugarloaf Mountain is sure to be an adventure. As long as you can handle the small space, this little room is perfectly cozy for one or two people who want to have a bit of space away from the world for a while.
Welcome to a little yet unique place to stay, a restored train caboose on Sugarloaf Mountain. Up here, getting away from your worries feels much easier.
This 100-year-old caboose was lovingly restored to be a cozy little home with room to sleep two. Guests have access to just about everything, including a fire pit, or an amp if you're a musician.
Despite its size, it feels nice and cozy indoors, with a couch, bench seats, and a master bedroom. Relax on the couch or outside, and make this space feel like a little home away from home for a while.
The full kitchen includes a stove and coffeepot, so you can start your morning off right no matter the weather. The peace and quiet means you can easily enjoy a beautiful morning on the deck with a fresh cup of coffee. What a dream!
Seven years of restoration efforts brought back the cupola potbelly stove (out of use) and the beautiful wood flooring. The railroad-themed decor and parts adorning the space make sure you never forget you're in a train car. How fun!
The free shuttle to Sugarloaf makes it easy to get to, and the whole caboose is full of charm and homey decor. It's one of Maine's most unique stays and belongs on everyone's bucket list.
