We can’t think of a better way to kick off the holiday season than by putting on a Santa suit and going for a run on the beach. There are several Santa runs held throughout the state, but we’re particularly fond of the Shipyard Seaside Santa Dash in Kennebunk. Check it out, then get out your running shoes and get registered!
Get ready for the best race you'll run all year. The Shipyard Seaside Santa Dash will be held on Saturday, December 14th, 2019.
This race is a holiday tradition for many folks here in Maine. You'll want to register asap, because the first 200 participants will receive a free Santa suit to wear at the race.
Whether you participate in the 5k Run/Walk or the 10k Run, you'll find the starting line at LIVE Cafe in Kennebunk. Bring along an unwrapped toy or two to donate to Toys for Tots.
The race course runs along the streets through town, as well as along the sandy beach. Festive pups are welcome, too! The 5k and 10k start at 9:00 a.m.
The Elf Dash is a don't-miss 1k run for the kiddos. It starts at 10 a.m. on Gooch's Beach, and you're going to want to bring your camera to capture some pics of your adorable elves dashing along the beach.
