Michelle's life is a colorful map of exploration and adventure. From the iconic streets of New York to the sunny shores of Florida, the jagged coast of Maine to the rugged terrain of Montana, she's been fortunate to call some of America's most beautiful states home. Beyond the U.S., Michelle's wanderlust has taken her on a motorcycle journey through India, led her to teach English in Hanoi, and saw her studying Spanish in Guatemala. Michelle graduated with a communications degree from the S. I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University and in addition to a career in advertising has worked with OnlyInYourState since 2016, where her love for travel and storytelling converges. Alongside writing and exploring, Michelle finds joy in photography, staying active, and time with her family.

So, you love the Maine outdoors and you gave camping a try. The novelty of the campfire was nice, but in the end there was a lot of sleeping on the ground that didn’t feel much like a vacation. If this sounds like you, we recommend giving glamping a try! This camping/luxury hybrid will bring you out into nature, but still allow you to have a comfortable night’s sleep. If you’re not sure where to begin, consider giving this wonderful yurt a try!
Still a little too rustic for you? Don’t worry! The site also has the “Harmony Eco-Cabin.” Spend time here if you’d like to bring your dog (they’re welcome!) and enjoy some solar-powered electricity and wifi. The yurts can be booked by clicking here and cost about $115 per night.
